Lead pharmacotoxicology expert supporting pharmaceutical development and lifecycle management for eye health products, with a focus on nonclinical safety assessments. remote US location.
Responsibilities- develop and oversee nonclinical safety strategies for pharmaceuticals, OTC, and consumer products
- ensure alignment of development plans with regulatory and product objectives
- interpret and communicate toxicology data for regulatory submissions and product launches
- mentor junior staff and manage toxicology team
- stay current with industry standards and update practices accordingly
- author and review scientific documents
- collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and global sites
- improve departmental procedures.
- Ph.D. in Toxicology or related field
- 12+ years in pharma industry
- experience with ophthalmology drug development preferred
- DABT certification desirable
High Value: ophthalmology, pharmaceutical development, nonclinical safety, regulatory compliance, cross-functional leadership.
