Routine analysis of vector samples for quality attributes in support of process development studies using biophysical techniques and cell-based assays. Includes culturing primary cells, staining, and flow cytometry.Perform hands-on experimental work in the development and optimization of upstream (cell culture and transfection conditions) and downstream (clarification, tangential flow filtration, chromatography) unit operations for viral vector productionDesign, plan, execute, and analyze lab experiments.Manage inventory of samples and materials and ensure proper handling and storageMaintain proper documentation of experimental results using an electronic lab notebookSummarize and present scientific data; report results to project teamsMaintain a safe work environment in accordance with policies/procedures/regulations.Education:M.S. or B.S. in Biological or Chemical Engineering, Virology, Molecular or Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or related disciplineQualifications:0-2 (MS) or 2+ (BS) years of hands-on experience with analytical techniques and instrumentation for proteins, cells, and/or viral vectorsExcellent aseptic technique and experience with mammalian and/or primary cell cultureExperience with flow cytometry instrumentation, maintenance, and software (Flow Jo)Experience in upstream and/or downstream bioprocess developmentUses scientific principles and engineering fundamentals to solve problemsIndependently motivated with ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and coordinate activities within a teamDesire and drive to learn the biological mechanism of cell and gene therapy products and passion for their impact on the lives of patients with serious diseasesAbility to communicate clearly and concisely through oral presentation and technical writing#J-18808-Ljbffr
