Assisted Self Check Out
  • Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
  • Approach and interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services appropriately.
  • Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers at the same time.
  • Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Thank customers for their business and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
  • Provide SMART customer service consistently, following Lowe's policies and procedures.
  • Understand customer needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  • Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects when needed.
  • Show sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicate information about stock, special orders, features, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
  • Coach, develop, and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
  • Use a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds according to guidelines.
  • Provide proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates.
  • Supervise, coach, and support CSA Front End Team (Front End/Loaders).
  • Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise for customers.
  • Answer incoming calls, direct or take messages as needed.
  • Open additional registers when necessary to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Assist in line vesting to facilitate quicker checkout turnaround.
In-stock
  • Prepare register area at shift start and end, checking functionality and stocking supplies.
  • Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
  • Enter and submit customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign off on loading tickets.
  • Review and process online orders and returns.
  • Lookup product info and competitor prices for price matching.
  • Record store use items on the store use list.
Clean and Safe Stores
  • Obtain safety bags and monitor cash in drawers.
  • Monitor store entrances/exits for merchandise entering/leaving, assist customers or staff triggering alarms.
  • Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks; report promptly.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization per standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews, noting hazards, and securing areas.
  • Follow safety requirements for specific job duties and operate store equipment as needed.
General
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Less than 1 year of experience with computer use (inputting, accessing, modifying, outputting data).
  • Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology (smartphones, tablets).
  • 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years experience in product sales, including credit, installation, add-ons, protection plans, warranties, features, and benefits.
  • 1-2 years as a head cashier.
  • 1-2 years working in any Lowe’s department.
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience, including delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching.
  • Less than 1 year experience detecting shoplifting signs.
