The Outside Sales team has been the face of Door Dash to our merchant partners since our founding in 2013. Stationed locally, this team creates deep partnerships with local and regional merchants. These partnerships help strengthen operations, accelerate consumer growth, and improve our bottom line.
AboutThe Role
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our Outside Sales team to bring the best local and regional merchants onto Door Dash’s platform. You will join a team of experienced operators who excel in booking qualified meetings and will support a region and all opportunities within it. The team aims to establish industry-leading partnership terms with top merchants.
You will report to the Sales Development Manager and may travel for trainings, offsites, and team events as needed.
Responsibilities- Identify, contact, and qualify the most important merchants and their decision makers in your market
- Partner with Account Executives to secure meetings that advance the interests of Door Dash and merchant prospects
- Conduct high-volume outbound outreach (e.g., dialing 65+ calls per day) and emailing to reach and qualify decision makers
- Refine sales messaging, prospecting, qualifying, and closing techniques
- Report to the Sales Development Manager to support growth in the role and career
- 1+ years of experience in high-volume outbound cold calling
- Excellent ability to motivate potential partners to see the benefits Door Dash provides
- Creative sales tactics to engage prospects
- Experience meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly goals
- Ability to navigate sales tools and Google Apps (and Salesforce)
Actual compensation within the listed pay range will be decided based on factors including skills, experience, and location. Base salary is localized by work location. In addition to base salary, there are opportunities for equity grants and sales commissions. Discuss specifics with a recruiter.

The national base pay range and total on-target earnings (base + commissions) for this position are provided by location.
Base salary
: $19.46—$28.63 USD
On-target earnings (OTE): $21.40—$36 USD
