ARG Petro is looking for a Lube Sales Specialist with a strong technical background in industrial and commercial lubricants and a passion for enabling sales growth through expert support. This role combines deep lubrication expertise (CLS required) with a customer‑facing, sales‑enabling focus, working closely with our sales team across Texas to drive new business, support key accounts, and ensure technical credibility in every client interaction.
Key Responsibilities Sales Enablement & Field Support- Serve as the technical partner to the sales team during prospecting, proposal development, and solution presentation.
- Attend joint customer visits across Texas to support product demonstrations, Q&A sessions, and troubleshooting.
- Translate complex lubrication needs into value‑driven proposals and product packages.
- Recommend appropriate lubricants, greases, and fluids based on application, environment, and OEM specifications.
- Assist customers in converting to higher‑performing or more cost‑effective solutions.
- Provide oil analysis interpretations and troubleshooting recommendations as needed.
- Help identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities in existing accounts.
- Develop relationships with maintenance managers, plant engineers, and procurement contacts to build trust and loyalty.
- Support RFP responses and customer audits by providing documentation and technical insights.
- Train internal sales team on lubricant product lines, competitive differentiators, and industry best practices.
- Develop sales materials, case studies, and competitive conversion guides to support the field team.
- Provide technical coaching for new sales team members during onboarding.
- Maintain accurate customer service logs, conversion tracking, and lubrication recommendation records.
- Ensure adherence to relevant standards (STLE, ASTM, ISO) and support customers in compliance initiatives.
- CLS (Certified Lubrication Specialist) certification through STLE.
- 5+ years in lubrication technical sales, reliability consulting, or technical account management.
- Strong knowledge of industrial and automotive lubricants, applications, and condition monitoring.
- Proven ability to communicate technical value in a sales setting.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Texas (50‑70%).
- Experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, heavy equipment, or transportation sectors.
- Familiarity with fluid handling, filtration systems, and predictive maintenance technologies.
- CRM experience and ability to collaborate across a distributed sales organization.
