United Protective Services is currently seeking Security Officers to join our growing San Antonio team. This role is ideal for experienced officers who enjoy variety, flexibility, and supporting multiple sites as needed.

The On-Call Floater Officer provides coverage for shifts across multiple client locations, filling in for regularly scheduled officers who are on vacation, out sick, or during special assignments. This position requires professionalism, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.

• Provide security presence at various client locations within the San Antonio area
• Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Maintain detailed daily activity and incident reports
• Enforce site rules and regulations professionally and respectfully
• Support standing guard and patrol operations as directed
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and communicate with dispatch and supervisors
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills with clients and visitors
Requirements
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work outdoors if required
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ year of security experience
• Prior experience as a floater or field support officer
• Familiarity with report-writing and radio communication procedures
