Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Personnel Security Specialist supporting the TMAS 2 Contract with the 47 Cyberspace Test Squadron.

Our Personnel Security team is seeking a new member to help conduct system security analysis on systems and software to identify vulnerabilities. We seek candidates with a strong foundation in relevant areas who are motivated to expand their skills. Responsibilities may include compliance testing and penetration testing, depending on your skillset.

• Location: Lackland AFB, TX
• Job Status: Full-Time
• Travel: 10%

• Bachelor's Degree and 3-10 years of relevant experience, or additional relevant experience in lieu of education.
• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI; U.S. Citizenship required.
• At least 5 years of experience with SCI personnel security procedures.

• Establish local procedures for processing security clearance requests for military and civilian personnel.
• Initiate and review security investigations requests in accordance with directives.
• Ensure proper screening, verification, and documentation for security clearances.
• Analyze requests to determine validity for access.
• Evaluate the sensitivity of positions and determine investigation types.
• Maintain files and records related to clearances.
• Prioritize investigation requests and clearance records.
• Review security clearance requests for issues related to loyalty, character, or conduct.
• Assist commanders in establishing Security Information Files (SIF).
• Establish and maintain SIFs for supported organizations.
• Be flexible to work in other security disciplines such as security education, physical security, information security, industrial security, media control, and OPSEC.
