Security Officer 1 (Unarmed Security)
We are looking for a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard our facility, ensure safety for employees, patients, visitors, and collaborators, and uphold our security protocols. Your primary duties will center on monitoring, patrolling, incident response, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Protect life, property, information, and reputation by employing situational awareness and securing designated entrances and exits.
- Monitor flow of employees, patients, physicians, students, vendors, and visitors, verifying credentials and directing authorized personnel.
- Evaluate and respond in a timely manner to events and incidents according to system policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and physicians.
- Respond to emergency and unusual situations, including disturbances, disruptive employees, fires, medical emergencies, and restraining agitated patients per Tenet Corporate Security and facility policy.
- Prepare and submit all required incident documentation according to Tenet Corporate Security and facility policies.
- Maintain knowledge of all security orders and regulatory requirements pertinent to duties.
- Control and regulate pedestrian and vehicle traffic, enforce facility access control policy and parking regulations.
- Provide safety escorts and assistance; patrol facilities by foot or vehicle to detect or prevent unauthorized activities.
- Prevent and report violations of security and safety rules utilizing designated processes.
- Respond to protective alarm signals or other suspicious activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or GED required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a security role, law enforcement, or military background.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required state license and certifications.
- Must hold Level II Noncommissioned Security Officer license with Texas Commission on Private Security within 60 days of hire.
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (ARC or AHA) on hire, and an AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days.
- Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer.
- Texas Security Officer Commission Level III
Full‑time, nights. Other related duties as assigned.
