Job Summary
The Lead Communications Technician acts as the on‑site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. The Lead Comm Tech ensures job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining project staff efficiency.

• Run major project crews, provide training, and maintain adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion, and budget compliance.
• Accurately complete all commercial and project paperwork (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers).
• Perform quality checks; coordinate moves and cut sheets for voice and data cross connects; prepare red‑lined as‑built drawings.
• Serve as main on‑site customer contact and attend facility and construction meetings when required.
• Demonstrate detailed technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum two years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field; proven supervisory ability.
• Proficiency with listed tools (screwdriver, drywall saw, torpedo level, tap measure, snips, pliers, hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight, gloves, punch tool).
• Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications and quality requirements.
• Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
• Minimum company driving standards met.

USD $29.00 – $36.00 per hour.
