Field Technician

Base Pay Range

$28.00/hr - $31.00/hr

We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to support a government client with cable routing, pulling, and related infrastructure tasks onsite in San Antonio, TX. This is a six-month contract with potential for extensions. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to security protocols, and the ability to maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Perform cable routing, pulling, and termination for network and communication systems.
• Ensure compliance with government standards and security requirements.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems.
• Document all work performed, including cable paths, labeling, and configuration details.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic connectivity issues as needed.

• Experience:
  
  1–3 years in cable installation or field technician roles.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Knowledge of structured cabling, cable management, and routing best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Clearance:
  Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and install cabling in various environments.
