HVAC Controls Technician

My client is the largest independent commercial HVAC manufacturers' rep in North America
, with 20 locations in the US and Canada. You would become part of the best team in Commercial HVAC, Refrigeration, and of course, BMS and Industrial Controls.

• Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers
• Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming
• Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians
• Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects
• Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner
• Interact and train customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call and explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld
• Factory Certified Training, Online Training Courses, or other professional on the job training in the Building Automation and HVAC Industry

• Technical training and 5+ years of equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

• Experience in BAS, HVAC, or related industry
• Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools
• Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools,
  DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals
• Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls
• Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams
• Experience with any common integration protocols such as:
  BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP
