Christianson Air Conditioning & Plumbing islooking for a dependable, motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our Residential New Construction department. This is an opportunity to learn the plumbing trade while working alongside experienced, licensed plumbers on new home construction projects. We’re looking for someone who shows up ready to work, puts safetyfirst, follows instructions, and takes pride in learning the trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced, licensed plumbers with installing water supply lines, drain,waste, and vent piping, gas piping, fixtures, valves, and other plumbing components in new residential construction
- Learnand follow proper installation procedures, jobsite instructions, andsafety practices
- Load,unload, transport, and organize plumbing tools and materials
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including company vehicles
Who We’re Looking For
- Someone comfortable performing physical work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather
- Someone who works cooperatively with licensed plumbers and other crew members
- Someone who pays attention to details and takes pride in doing quality work
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 perhour/DOE
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
- Full-time position with possible overtime
- Flexibility to work later when necessary
This position requires:
- Avalid Texas Driver 's License
- Passing a pre-employment drug screen & background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work invarious positions for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Current registration with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) is preferred but not required at the time of application. Candidates selected for employment who are not currently licensed must submit an online Apprentice Plumber registration application through the TSBPEwebsite and complete the required fingerprinting before their first day of employment. Obtaining and maintaining an active TSBPE Apprentice Plumber registration is a condition of continued employment in this position.
