Drywall Installer & Framer

Job Description

The Drywall Installer & Framer supports commercial construction projects at local sites, reporting to the site supervisor and working as part of a small framing and drywall crew. This role performs wall and ceiling framing, drywall installation, finishing, and related site preparation. This is a temp position only probably about 4-5 weeks of work here then a location in Austin if you can commute with reimbursement

Responsibilities

• Frame walls and ceilings using metal, wood, and light-gauge steel systems.
• Hang drywall panels on commercial construction sites.
• Measure materials and complete layout according to project requirements.
• Cut drywall panels accurately for installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Apply joint tape and joint compound to finish drywall seams.
• Use power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in drywall installation and framing.
• Proficiency in drywall installation.
• Experience with metal and wood framing.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficiency in measuring and layout.
• Experience using power tools.
• Ability to apply joint compound.
