Summary: The Family Support Liaison serves as a trusted bridge between families and the network of CCAOSA programs, schools, and community partners. By coordinating services, advocating for needs, and strengthening communication, the role promotes stability and self‑sufficiency, delivering support that is culturally competent and family‑centered.
Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Workdays: Monday – Friday
Position Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify family strengths, challenges, and goals.
- Connect families to appropriate resources (housing, healthcare, education, employment, counseling) and complete warm hand-offs.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date case records documenting services provided, referrals, and progress toward goals.
- Plan and facilitate workshops on parenting, child development, school readiness, financial/life skills, and navigating community systems.
- Present effectively to groups with varied literacy and language levels; adapt materials for cultural and linguistic relevance.
- Enter client data into the agency database; track demographics, services delivered, and outcomes aligned to program goals.
- Must complete all required trainings in a timely manner.
- Provide culturally responsive guidance so families feel informed, respected, and empowered to access services.
- Advocate for family needs with schools, agencies, and other institutions, ensuring family voices are included in decisions affecting their children.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community agencies, nonprofits, and service providers to expand the referral network.
- Serve as a liaison among CCAOSA, families, and schools to address concerns, improve attendance, and support academic success.
- Participate in community events to promote awareness of CCAOSA services and strengthen collaboration.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization, including but not limited to client names, services rendered to clients, donor names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in social work, education, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with diverse families, limited English speakers, especially in educational or social service settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish professional boundaries.
- License and Credentials.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver license.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid vehicle insurance.
- Ability to operate an agency 12‑passenger van as needed for program activities and events.
- Must be 21 years of age and adhere to the CCAOSA policy, which will not allow anyone under the age of 21 to operate an agency vehicle.
Minimum Knowledge and
Skills:
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in a social service environment demonstrating sensitivity and appreciation for diverse cultural populations.
- Good presentation skills with clear communication and confidence.
- Experience with personal computer, various computer software, email, and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to maintain appropriate ethical boundaries and professional client relationships.
- Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of a client population.
- Some knowledge of client case file documentation and record‑keeping procedures.
- Ability to drive and maintain reliable personal transportation.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
