Position: AWS Application Sr Developer / Lead

Job description :

Client is looking for a talented cloud developer or lead. The candidate will work closely with technologists from P&C domains and the Architects group to create architecture for legacy mainframe and distributed applications and help migrate them to private and public cloud. The candidate will focus on development and provide mentorship to emergent technical teams. The candidate should have hands-on experience in cloud architectures (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and a deep interest and experience in broad enterprise platforms and cloud patterns.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient with Rest API development using J2EE (JaxRS or RESTeasy or Jersey) or Spring Boot.
  • Thorough understanding of YAML files and JSON payloads.
  • Hands-on experience defining Deployment, Replica Set, Pod, namespace, and service objects in Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience defining AWS ECR pipeline.
  • Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS EKS and working with AWS S3 bucket and AWS Aurora DB.
  • Ability to troubleshoot applications using AWS Cloud Watch logs.
  • Basic understanding of AWS Lambda function development using any programming language.
  • Experience with Terraform and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda development and deployment.
  • Knowledge of AWS VPC & subnets, AWS KMS, AWS IAM Roles & Policies, AWS STS.
  • Experience in application development using Open Shift.
  • Experience in batch application development using JSR batch framework or Spring Batch framework.
