Debris Removal Technician Bexar NIGHT Shift

We are seeking full‑time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in East and West Bexar County during the day shift, specifically in Debris Removal. The role involves highway drainage maintenance, TMA driving and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Hires will be based in San Antonio, TX
.

• Must know how to operate chainsaw
• TMA driving (1 year experience)
• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms and various small hand tools
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Construction or roadway maintenance experience
• Traffic control certifications/courses (MOT)
• Operator of wheel loader, skid steer, forklift, asphalt roller, etc.

• Roadway maintenance experience
• CDL license is a plus
• Bilingual:
  English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record, driving record, and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smartphone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
• Clean driving record is essential
• Must pass criminal background check

Full time;
Night shift. Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods. Must also be flexible to work rotating shifts according to client requests, including day shift. Night shift hours are typically 8pm - 5am. Sunday - Wednesday, some Thursdays. Day shift hours are typically 7:30am - 4pm.

The minimum pay rate is $15/hr with no experience required. Higher compensation is available depending on candidate experience and certifications.
