Job Title: Interventionist (Part-Time)

Reports to: Campus Principal

Work with: Campus Personnel & Students

Primarily responsible for assisting teachers with the planning and implementation of the District's approved curriculum, instructional programs and strategies for core areas.

• Texas Teacher certificate in assigned core area.

I. Regularly review student profiles/class progress.

• Review data to determine student academic needs in the core area(s)
• Review and monitor student assessment data and progress.
• Meet regularly with students and teachers to review progress/student information/interventions.
• Work with small groups of students (5‑10) needing interventions for 40‑50 minutes, 4‑5 times a week.
• Modify instruction and intervention based on assessment data.
• Develop and implement a detailed lesson plan that reflects the needs of the students being served.
• Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
• Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.

Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.

Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.

Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.

Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).

May work prolonged or irregular hours.

Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
