Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team!
$14.50 to $18.50 per hour
This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $10.64 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

- VACATION:

Position Summary
We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This position sets a customer-centric tone for the store.
Additionally, this role analyzes store financial statements with the Store Manager to ensure goals are met. You will be required to commit to the asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees collaborate across a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities of a Store Management Trainee

- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-approved channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and ensuring procedures protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
