Judicial Services & Training Support Specialist. The Superior Court is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team.
This role provides operational support for the Temporary Judge Program, assists with community outreach initiatives, tracks judicial education compliance, supports various judicial programs, prepares annual reports submitted to the Judicial Council, and contributes to the development and delivery of judicial training.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse stakeholders. The incumbent must also exercise exceptional discretion when handling highly sensitive and confidential information.

About the PositionUnder general direction, performs specialized administrative, programmatic, and coordination duties in support of the Court’s judicial services functions. This classification provides operational support for the Temporary Judge Program, supports community outreach initiatives, tracks judicial education compliance, supports judicial programs, prepares annual reports submitted to the Judicial Council, and assists with the development and delivery of judicial training. Work is performed with a significant degree of independence and requires skill in interacting with the public, partner agencies, community/civic groups, and all levels of judicial officers, management, and staff as necessary for the administration of assigned Judicial Services responsibilities, as well as use diplomacy and tact when interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, incumbents are expected to exercise care and discretion in handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
The Judicial Services and Training Support Specialist is a single-incumbent classification responsible for performing routine to complex administrative duties supporting the Court’s judicial services functions. Employees in this class support the administrative functions of the work group and the Senior Training and Development Specialist and typically report to Executive Staff. This class is distinguished from the Senior Training and Development Specialist (Judicial Services) in that the latter performs the more complex work assigned to the Senior Training and Development Specialist, such as assignment of entire projects and training functions involving Judicial Officers and provides technical and functional direction over lower‑level staff, as assigned.
Examplesof Typical Job Functions
- Serve as a primary point of contact for training inquiries and judicial services, communicating tactfully and professionally with judges, staff, and members of the public.
- Provide administrative services for the Temporary Judge Program; work with judicial officers to schedule and organize orientation and training programs; prepare correspondence and reports of a highly sensitive and confidential nature; and coordinate meetings, visits, and tours with parties of interest.
- Design, research, and deliver training programs; develop curriculum and materials; facilitate sessions for judicial officers.
- Schedule training, orientation, and periodic updates required for temporary judges; maintain training rosters and certification records; serve as the primary point of contact for temporary judge volunteers, providing program information, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with Rule of Court requirements.
