Position DetailsLocation:

Type:
Part-time, 28 hours per week
Monthly salary range: $18,673.90 to $20,748.00
Position classification:
Limited term (may be extended or become permanent).
- Provide medical care to patients in the correctional facility under the general direction of the Chief Physician & Surgeon, CF.
- Perform medical assessments and deliver appropriate medical treatment to assigned patients per authorized medical license.
- Offer clinical consultation to midlevel providers and other staff.
- Instruct nursing and other clinical staff on medical protocols and maintain professional medical standards of care.
- Serve on call duties as assigned.
- Legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California (Medical Board or Board of Osteopathic Examiners).
- Valid internal medicine or family medicine medical/osteopathic specialty certificate issued by an American Medical Specialty Board or an American Osteopathic Specialty Board, or admissibility to the examination as evidenced by a written statement from the Secretary of the American Board of Family Medicine or Secretary of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
