The Licensed Therapist must be experienced in working with Trauma patients and/or first responders. The Therapist is responsible for providing direct psychological clinical services to injured workers through multiple modalities, including initial assessment, case management, psychoeducation and movement classes, and individual and group psychotherapy.

A typical caseload includes individuals injured at work who are experiencing predominant anxiety, depression, trauma and issues related to physical pain.

Additionally, this position partners with the clinical team to assess current treatment and examine opportunities for improvement. The role includes participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences, and close collaboration with the pain management team to ensure high‑quality clinical services. Therapists provide services reimbursable by Workers’ Compensation and will be expected to complete required clinical and administrative documentation.

• Provide individual therapy to adult clients in an outpatient pain clinic.
• Conduct weekly psycho educational class sessions for individuals attending the outpatient daily Functional Restoration Program (FRP) at the clinic or via telemedicine.
• Provide brief individual therapy to individuals in the FRP and evaluate their clinical progress in the program.
• Perform assessment and treatment planning for active caseload.
• Provide clinical care informed by best practices in the field of pain psychology.
• Refer to other modalities within the clinic as needed.
• Document all client care in our EMR system.
• Provide clinical care that complies with all legal and ethical standards.
• Assume other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs.

• California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or California Licensed Psychologist.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
• Experience in assessment and treatment of patients with chronic pain conditions.
• Experience leading processing groups and/or psycho educational groups preferred.
• Experience with Cognitive‑Behavioral Therapy, Neuro‑Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness‑oriented interventions.
• Trauma background with ability to do EMDR is a plus.
• Familiarity working with chronic pain/trauma populations, an integrated therapeutic approach is a plus.
