Job Description & How to Apply Below

About the role

We’re looking for a logistics administrator who doesn’t just keep freight moving but actively looks for better ways to do it. You’ll own day-to-day transportation operations, from carrier selection and booking through delivery, and you’ll bring a habit of spotting bottlenecks, testing fixes, and turning one-off solutions into repeatable processes. Comfort with technology and data is essential, since much of the work runs through carrier portals, TMS platforms, and spreadsheets.

What

you’ll do
  • Review transit times and evaluate LTL carriers on service, rates, and lane coverage, then recommend changes when the data supports them.
  • Book freight with common carriers while sourcing the best available rates.
  • Troubleshoot issues from booking to delivery quickly, and document root causes so they don’t recur.
  • Direct dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles, and assess routing alternatives and carrier performance.
  • Communicate daily with the warehouse, brokers, and carriers by email and phone.
  • Maintain a daily cargo tracking report and submit it to customers on request.
  • Assign loads to warehouse workers for pick and pack.
  • Provide freight quotes to the sales team as requested.
  • Review and negotiate carrier rates against current market conditions.
  • Identify manual or repetitive steps in logistics workflows and propose or build simple improvements (templates, spreadsheet tools, workflow changes, or system automations).
  • Take on other administrative tasks as needed.
What you bring
  • Working knowledge of common carriers and their systems.
  • A clear understanding of freight terms, export terms, and shipping documentation.
  • Recent experience with OTR shipments, both FTL and LTL, including OTIF (on-time, in-full) shipments and tracking OTIF performance.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and building simple reports or trackers.
  • Experience with carrier TMS platforms and third-party customer TMS systems.
  • A problem-solver’s mindset: you like figuring out why something is slow or error-prone and fixing it, and you’re comfortable learning new tools quickly.
  • Self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines while supporting the logistics team.
Nice to have
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Experience automating or streamlining logistics workflows, or working with reporting and data tools beyond Excel.
