Reporting to the Executive Director, Philanthropy, the Grants and Philanthropy Partner plays a critical role in advancing SAC Health's mission by leading grant development and management efforts while cultivating meaningful relationships with funders and donors. This role oversees a diverse portfolio that includes government, foundation, philanthropic, and individual donor funding. The position combines strategic grant writing, grant and financial management, donor stewardship, fundraising support, and cross-functional collaboration.
Serving as a primary liaison between internal program teams and external funders, the Grants and Philanthropy Partner ensures funded initiatives align with SAC Health's mission, demonstrate measurable impact, and remain compliant with all funder and regulatory requirements.

Location: Brier Clinic, San Bernardino, CA
- Expands SAC Health's funding portfolio across local, state, federal, foundation, and private sources through research, prospecting, relationship-building, solicitation, and grant writing.
- Researches and prioritizes funding opportunities aligned with organizational mission and strategic priorities, including monitoring public and private funding announcements.
- Manages the full grant administration lifecycle, including proposal development, contract compliance, reporting requirements, and submission of timely and accurate deliverables.
- Oversees grant financial management in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including monitoring grant budgets, allowable costs, funder restrictions, reimbursements, drawdowns, and budget reconciliations in accordance with federal and funder regulations.
- Mants accurate and up-to-date funding tracking systems, records, and documentation to support compliance, reporting, and internal decision-making.
- Builds and leads an entry- and mid-level donor stewardship program designed to increase engagement and year-over-year growth, including coordination with staff, medical and dental residents, and other stakeholders.
- Supports donor cultivation and retention efforts through meeting preparation, follow-up, drafting correspondence, acknowledgments, and appreciation activities, including tax documentation.
- Collaborates with internal leaders and cross-functional teams to support the design and implementation of grant-funded programs that address identified community needs.
- Prepares high-quality reports and materials that highlight measurable outcomes, success stories, and community impact for executive leadership, funders, and the Board of Directors.
- Plans and coordinates fundraising activities and supports the identification of new fundraising strategies and engagement opportunities.
- Travel to other SAC Health clinics, offices or events as necessary; must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.

- Education
: A Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Fundraising, Philanthropy, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. - Licensure/Certification
:
Valid CA Driver's License, and auto insurance. Preferred certifications include Fundraising Management (CFRM) or Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). - Experience
:
Five (5) years of experience in development, grants management, grant writing, donor cultivation, and fundraising required. Experience with Foundations, Health Resource and Services administration (HRSA), and federal grants, referral regulations and compliance preferred. - Essential Technical/Motor Skills
:
Proficiency in fundraising software and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is required, along with a strong understanding of financial management principles related to nonprofit organizations; excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans, are essential. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with donors and stakeholders, including keen attention to detail in reviewing donor proposals and managing donor relationships, and the ability to adapt to different communication styles and preferences of donors and stakeholders. - Interpersonal Skills
