Mountainview Biological Consulting, LLC is a team of highly skilled wildlife biologists based in San Bernardino, CA. Our experts specialize in various fields, including wildlife, botany, herpetology, ornithology, project management, and compliance monitoring. We are committed to delivering accurate field surveys, biological assessments, and compliance monitoring to our clients with reliability and precision.

We are seeking an On‑Call Wildlife Biologist to join our team. This on‑site role involves conducting field surveys, special‑status species surveys, nesting bird surveys, biological site assessments, and general biological and botanical surveys. Compliance monitoring is also a key component of this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys and biological assessments.
  • Perform special‑status species and nesting bird surveys.
  • Carry out compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Complete general biological and botanical surveys.
  • Utilize tools such as Survey
    123, Excel, and Field Maps for data collection and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience in wildlife biology and botany.
  • Background in wildlife management and biological fieldwork.
  • Experience conducting field surveys and nesting bird surveys.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in GIS is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and navigational skills.
  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles per day on uneven terrain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with endangered species surveys.
  • Certifications in wetland delineation.
  • Familiarity with local and federal regulations.
