Job Overview
Transdev in San Bernardino is seeking an experienced B-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gas and CNG engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a B-Level Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.
Compensation & BenefitsCBA Position: $33.00/hr.

- Vacation: up to 14 days per year
- Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time employees / 5 hrs monthly part-time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.
- Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement.
- Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
- Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on gas and CNG engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
- Other duties as required.
- 3-5 years of experience as a gas and/or CNG mechanic.
- ASE certification required, or ability to obtain.
- Mechanic’s Tool Set.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent standing, walking, kneeling, and stooping.
- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
