We are seeking dependable Temporary Cargo Truck Drivers to support election-related logistics throughout San Bernardino County, CA. This project-based role is ideal for safety-focused drivers who are comfortable operating cargo vans, box trucks, or U-Haul-type vehicles while transporting ballot boxes and election materials to and from polling locations. This is a critical transportation support role where accuracy, professionalism, and reliability matter.
Drivers will work as part of a coordinated logistics team with clear instructions, defined routes, and supportive supervision. The assignment offers meaningful temporary work, hands-on activity, and the opportunity to contribute to an important community operation.
- Safely operate cargo trucks, vans, or similar vehicles to transport ballot boxes and election materials throughout San Bernardino County.
- Deliver, set up, pick up, and secure ballot boxes and related equipment at assigned polling locations.
- Follow route assignments, schedules, chain-of-custody procedures, traffic laws, and election security guidelines.
- Perform basic vehicle checks and promptly report vehicle, route, timing, or site-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and material movement as required.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, polling site contacts, and team members regarding status updates or delays.
- Pay rate: $21.21 per hour.

- Transport ballot boxes and election materials between assigned locations.
- Set up and pick up election-related equipment at polling sites.
- Follow detailed route instructions, timelines, and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and mileage documentation.
- Valid California driver's license.
- Clean and current DMV driving record, with ability to obtain and provide a recent DMV printout.
- Valid personal auto insurance with the driver's name listed as an insured driver.
- Comfortable driving cargo vans, box trucks, U-Haul-type vehicles, or similar vehicles.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
- Reliable transportation to report to assigned starting locations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak election periods.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Professional and courteous communication skills when interacting with site staff and the public.
- Ability to pass a background check if required for election-related work.
- Less than 1 year of experience accepted for candidates who meet driving, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Prior delivery, courier, logistics, or transportation driving experience.
- Familiarity with San Bernardino County roads, routes, and local areas.
- Previous temporary assignment or election-related work experience.
