Optometric Technician; Peninsula Family Optometric Group

Join VSP Ventures as an Optometric Technician and assist optometrists with eye examinations and patient care. The role involves conducting pre-testing, taking patient histories, guiding patients through procedures, and supporting various clinical functions.

• Prepare patients by gathering medical and vision histories, explaining procedures, and documenting information.
• Operate clinical instruments, take measurements, and perform tests to assess visual capabilities.
• Insert and educate patients on contact lenses, manage contact lens inventory.
• Administer ophthalmic medications and dilation drops.
• Scribe for the optometrist and translate as needed.
• Manage patient flow, communicate effectively with staff and patients.
• Assist with therapy exercises, office duties, and special projects as assigned.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and clinical instruments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
