Computational Biologist​/Bioinformatics Technical Support Engineer

Duration: 6 months contract

• The team collaborates with researchers, data scientists, and technical teams across the biomedical research community. We help organize, manage, and analyze scientific data efficiently and securely, providing technical guidance, best practices, and support for cloud-based data analysis and workflow automation.

• Understand customer requirements, recommend implementation strategies, and provide technical training and support.
• Assist customers in organizing, harmonizing, and securely sharing biomedical data across cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AmClienton Web Services (AWS).
• Build and maintain batch workflows and interactive analysis notebooks to process and analyze data at scale.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and User Experience teams to enhance platform features and functionality.
• Partner with Sales and Product teams to support pilot and production deployments for customers and research partners.

• 7+ years of experience with one or more programming languages such as Python or Java, with proficiency in writing SQL queries.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Clienture).
• Experience working with life science or biomedical data, running batch workflows, or performing statistical analyses.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and installation of common software packages.
• Experience building and deploying Docker containers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
• Passion for using technology to advance biomedical research and human health.
• Excellent communication and project coordination abilities, with experience managing multiple customers or projects simultaneously.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
