Senior UX​/Interaction Designer – Mobile Video Platform

Associate Team Lead - Lead Technical Recruiter

Duration: 8-9 Months

Base pay range: $90.00/hr - $110.00/hr

We are seeking a Senior UX / Interaction Designer to design and evolve short‑form video viewing experiences on mobile platforms. This role focuses on crafting intuitive, engaging, and scalable interaction patterns for video‑first, feed‑based consumption.

• Lead end‑to‑end design for short‑form video viewer experiences across mobile platforms (iOS & Android).
• Design interaction models, gestures, motion behaviors, and visual systems optimized for rapid, immersive content consumption.
• Explore and prototype new interaction paradigms to improve engagement, discovery, and usability.
• Partner closely with UX Research to translate insights and experimentation results into design solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross‑functional partners to deliver scalable, high‑quality experiences.
• Create wireframes, user flows, high‑fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Advocate for user‑centered, accessibility‑first design throughout the product lifecycle.
• Contribute to and evolve shared design systems and visual standards.

• 6+ years of experience in UX, product, or interaction design.
• Proven experience designing video, media, or playback‑centric experiences.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe, Proto Pie).

• Experience designing short‑form or video‑first platforms (e.g., reels, stories, feeds, or swipe‑based experiences).
• Strong understanding of gesture‑based navigation, motion design, and micro‑interactions.
• Experience working on high‑traffic, consumer‑scale products.
• Familiarity with experimentation, A/B testing, and data‑informed design.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments and influence cross‑functional teams.

• Bachelor's or equivalent work experience in a related field.
