Staff, Product Manager – Sam’s Club Marketing Technology (Mar Tech)
Position Summary:
As a Staff Product Manager – Mar Tech, you will lead the evolution of Sam’s Club’s marketing technology ecosystem. You’ll identify opportunities to streamline workflows, accelerate time‑to‑market, and improve ROI through innovation, data integration, and intelligent automation, including the use of generative AI for audience insights, campaign optimization, content creation, and performance measurement. Partnering with cross‑functional teams, you’ll deliver personalized, omnichannel marketing experiences that enhance engagement and drive member‑centric growth.
- Define and communicate a long‑term vision for Mar Tech capabilities aligned with business goals.
- Explore new areas for value creation using first principles and rapid experimentation.
- Build and own a product roadmap with clear phasing and prioritization.
- Manage backlog, trade‑offs, and MVP rollouts to optimize product performance.
- Apply analytics and research to inform product strategy and feature development.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance using modern data tools and techniques.
- Map member journeys and identify touchpoints to deliver cohesive experiences.
- Simplify processes to improve satisfaction and engagement.
- Drive informed discussions with engineering teams on architecture, feasibility, and risks.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in Mar Tech, AI, and cloud technologies.
- Build consensus across marketing, engineering, and data teams.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Leverage deep knowledge of Mar Tech ecosystems—including marketing automation, audience building platforms, content management systems, experimentation platforms, member data platforms, and media mix modeling.
- Option 1:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 7 years of experience in product management. - Option 2: 9 years’ experience in product management or a related area.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field and 6 years of experience as a product manager, preferably working on consumer‑facing, large‑scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
- Experience creating inclusive digital experiences, implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
Base pay range: $143,000 – $286,000 per year, plus performance bonuses and potential stock options.
