We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Lead Fitness Instructor to join our My Gym San Carlos team. In this role, you will lead engaging, high-energy classes for children ages 3 months to 10 years, creating a safe and joyful environment where every child can thrive.

You will teach both parent-participation and independent programs—helping younger children build coordination, balance, and social skills alongside their caregivers, and guiding older children as they develop strength, confidence, and teamwork through movement and play.

At My Gym, the role of a Lead Instructor goes beyond teaching classes. You will build strong relationships with families, mentor team members, and help deliver an exceptional experience for every child. This position offers opportunities to grow as a teacher and gain valuable experience in leadership, operations, and program management.

If you enjoy a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have a background or interest in sports, kinesiology, physical fitness, early childhood education, gymnastics, dance, or martial arts, this role is an excellent fit.

Must be 18 years or older

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred

Availability on weekday mornings/afternoons and weekends

Ability to pass a background check

Lead and assist age-appropriate classes that encourage participation and engagement

Foster a fun, positive, and welcoming environment for children and parents

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times

Support children in achieving developmental milestones through play and movement

Collaborate with team members to maintain a high-quality class experience

Experience working with young children in a structured or recreational setting

Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor

Ability to work well in a team environment

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for up to six hours
