Sales Consultant, Sales Representative
Full-time in showroom
Are you the kind of sales professional who believes the best business is built through relationships, trust, and thoughtful conversations rather than transactional selling? Our client is seeking a Sales & Design Consultant who can listen, understand a client’s vision, and become a trusted resource throughout the design and purchasing process.
This is an opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys consultative selling, working with design professionals and homeowners, and helping clients find the right materials and solutions for their projects.
You’ll have the opportunity to build and grow your own book of business while working with interior designers, architects, contractors, builders, homeowners, and other trade professionals.
From the initial conversation and project understanding to material selection, quoting, follow-up, and closing, you’ll play a key role in guiding clients to solutions that bring their vision to life.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Interior Design, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably within luxury residential design, stone and tile, kitchen and bath, architectural products, luxury retail, or another relationship-driven sales environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable learning new sales and business systems.
- Comfortable using CRM systems to manage opportunities, client activity, pipeline, follow-up, and forecasting.
- Demonstrated success achieving sales targets or quotas, with an understanding of commission-based compensation and a strong motivation to grow revenue.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand a client’s vision, budget, timeline, and project requirements and translate them into thoughtful product recommendations.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to generate opportunities through outreach and relationship development in addition to servicing incoming showroom business.
- Experience working with interior designers, architects, contractors, builders, and/or homeowners preferred.
- Familiarity with residential construction and the ability to read basic architectural drawings, plans, elevations, and project specifications preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-touch showroom environment while maintaining exceptional customer service and professionalism.
