As an Engineering Document Control Specialist, you’ll ensure the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of critical engineering documentation. Your work will support compliance, streamline collaboration across departments, and help engineering and production teams deliver high-quality products on time.
Pay Range$57,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Responsibilities- Distribute engineering documents to internal and external stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and document security.
- Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and signatures to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Manage engineering change requests, including tracking revisions, documenting change history, and communicating approved updates.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
- Establish and maintain archiving procedures for obsolete or inactive documents in compliance with regulatory and record‑retention requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve document control processes and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the creation of custom or non‑standard design documentation for special customer orders.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering document control, technical documentation, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple document workflows accurately.
- Basic math and measurement skill.
- Clear written and verbal communication skill.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems and tools.
- Critical thinking skills to evaluate document changes and process improvements.
