Job DescriptionCape Fox Concentric Methods LLC is accepting resumes for an MRI Technologist to support the Navy Facility at Camp Pendleton CA.
Compensation and BenefitsThe total hourly pay for this non‑exempt position is $55.93 per hour for up to 40 hours per week, comprised of a base hourly rate of $51.00 plus $4.93 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. In addition, eligible positions receive benefits including holidays, paid leave, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) with company match.
PositionSummary
As an MRI Technologist at the Navy Facility, you will operate the MRI scanner, select appropriate imaging sequences, administer contrast materials, and ensure patient safety and data quality. You will also support research projects, perform quality assurance activities, and provide technical expertise to optimize scanner performance.
Responsibilities- Adhere to safety precautions and procedures.
- Operate the control console during scanning, including selecting proper imaging sequences.
- Enter and monitor participant patient data throughout scanning.
- Administer oral and intravenous contrast material prior to scans.
- Provide technical advice when examination parameters may compromise quality.
- Offer expert information on software and hardware capabilities of the MRI scanner.
- Recommend modifications to produce optimal imaging spectra and efficient scanner use.
- Perform regular quality assurance procedures on the scanner, data acquisition, and data archiving.
- Execute research projects focusing on reproducibility and quality assurance of pulse sequences and activation paradigms with an MRI Physicist.
- Perform post‑processing of acquired images and data as specified by study investigators.
- Create, enter, and maintain research data on associated reports and spreadsheets.
- Ensure MRI data is of the highest quality and properly archived.
- Act as subject/patient advocate, monitoring comfort and physiological parameters during research exams.
- Operate the scanner for anatomical, functional, structural, functional imaging, and MR spectroscopy studies.
- Solve MRI‑related technical questions through independent research.
- Train research staff and other staff on scanner operation and MR safety issues.
- One year of experience within the last 3 years.
- Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Trained to operate a 1.5 or 3.0 Tesla magnet.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
