Overview

Job Title: Quality Control Associate / Technician

Location: San Clemente, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15am–4:00pm (or end of production); some Saturdays & overtime required

Contract Length: 12/31/2025 (potential for extension)

Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Quality Control Associate/Technician is responsible for monitoring production processes and ensuring all products meet our quality and food safety standards. This role involves hands-on testing, process inspections, and communication with production staff to maintain compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-plant testing of production operations and equipment to ensure products conform to specifications.
  • Inspect process control points and monitor product quality.
  • Identify, reject, or retain substandard products outside defined tolerances.
  • Document results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Use computer software and electronic equipment for data entry and reporting.
  • Communicate inspection results and corrective action recommendations to production staff.
  • Collaborate with all departments to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in quality control or food manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with HACCP principles a plus.
  • Ability to follow standard processes, procedures, and use testing equipment.
  • Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Food handling certification or related training is helpful.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
