Tax Accountant

Senior Tax Accountant | Contract | 6+ Months | Potential Temp-to-Hire

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of clients during peak season. This position is onsite in the Del Mar area and is ideal for an experienced tax professional looking to grow within a highly reputable, award‑winning CPA firm. The contract is 6+ months with potential to convert to a permanent role.

• Prepare complex individual, C‑corp, S‑corp, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Provide proactive tax planning and consultation to clients.
• Manage multiple client engagements, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Communicate directly with clients and internal team members to deliver exceptional service.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to firm growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a related environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting and tax principles.
• Proficiency with Quick Books and Microsoft Office;
  Ultra Tax (Thomson Reuters) experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $40.00 to $60.00 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
