Our client in the construction industry is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This role is ideal for professionals looking to build their accounting expertise in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice entry and payment tracking
• Reconcile daily bank transactions and maintain accurate records in the general ledger
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and maintain financial documentation for multiple construction projects
• Communicate with vendors and project managers to resolve billing and payment inquiries
• Help ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations

• 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally within the construction sector
• Proficiency with accounting software (such as Quick Books, Sage, or similar) and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication

• Familiarity with construction project accounting and job costing
• Associate degree or relevant certification in accounting
