Sr AP Accountant

This Sr AP Accountant is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, partnering cross-functionally, and working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities of this Sr AP Accountant include:

• Manage and support full-cycle accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, vendor payments, purchase order transactions, credit memos, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Oversee corporate travel and expense programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and providing support to employees.
• Administer corporate credit card programs, monitor transactions, resolve issues, and generate reporting.
• Conduct vendor onboarding and maintenance activities, including verification of banking information, tax documentation, and approval workflows.
• Process domestic and international payments via ACH, wire transfers, checks, and banking platforms.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, aging analyses, and various AP and expense reporting schedules.
• Research and resolve vendor, employee, banking, and payment-related inquiries while partnering with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
• Support 1099 reporting, vendor tax compliance, audit requests, and internal control requirements.
• Assist with Net Suite system enhancements, automation initiatives, workflow improvements, and process optimization projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the overall employee and vendor experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, procure-to-pay, expense management, or general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency with Net Suite, expense management platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
• Background within life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry is preferred.
• Experience working within a SOX-controlled, publicly traded, or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of AP operations, accrual accounting, month-end close processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
• Experience processing domestic and international payments, including ACH and wire transfers.
