Overview

Wheelhouse Credit Union is searching for a Facilities Technician
. This role supports the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, and Values by maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for Members and staff. The position has access to sensitive information; therefore, the incumbent is expected to uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion as it relates to sensitive documents, systems or conversations pertaining to member or employee data and operational security.
  • Prepare and process all incoming and outgoing mail. Open, sort and distribute all incoming mail. Deliver mail to various locations including branches and departments, as well as to delivery services, i.e., United States Postal Service, UPS, and Fed Ex.
  • Ensure the safe and professional upkeep of all Credit Union facilities, including branches, departments, and grounds.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and security systems.
  • Maintain inventory of Credit Union supplies including breakroom supplies, toners, lights, etc.
  • Assist with coordinating building related projects. Arrange and coordinate service calls for building related repairs.
  • Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and equipment setups.
  • Ensure safety and compliance across all locations.
  • Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent and one year of facilities maintenance experience.
  • Experience with painting, minor plumbing repairs, and troubleshooting to determine best plan of action related to building maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a good driving record.
