Position: RECEPTIONIST (FULL TIME)

RECEPTIONIST

  • Location:

    Qualcomm SD Admin - 5775 Morehouse Drive, San Diego, CA 92121.
  • Schedule:

    Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Requirement: 1 year of previous customer service and receptionist experience preferred.
  • Perks: $500 sign‑on bonus after 90 days.
  • Pay Range: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Job Summary

As a Receptionist, you will be the first impression to all and will operate the switchboard in addition to being the point of contact for all visitors, making sure guests feel comfortable and secure throughout their visit. You are responsible for establishing a warm, professional atmosphere for all clients, recruits, customers, and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Properly greet and handle visitors with a smile and maintain eye contact throughout the interaction. Address guests and clients by name whenever possible.
  • Answer telephones in friendly, professional manner, take messages accurately, and appropriately handle or refer questions and requests.
  • Handle on‑floor conference room activities, including reservations, meeting start/end times, attendee status, and food and beverage orders. Advise appropriate staff of changes or special requests.
  • Implement established security policies and procedures for arriving and departing visitors, contractors, and delivery persons.
  • Act as a Hospitality Services resource, providing way‑finding and amenities within the building, transportation options, community retail, and organizational information.
  • Handle car service requests for visitors and staff members.
  • Communicate requests to internal support departments such as building maintenance, IT, AV technology, and mail room.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Two to three years of experience in a client service or reception position within a hospitality or corporate environment.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
