Overview

A leading lifestyle apparel brand is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the fit, quality, and construction of our products from concept through production. You will collaborate cross-functionally with design, product development, and sourcing teams to maintain brand standards and deliver exceptional product to market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the technical development of assigned categories from initial design through final production.
  • Create and maintain detailed tech packs, including specs, construction details, and fit comments.
  • Lead and conduct fit sessions, providing clear direction to vendors and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on timelines, quality standards, and design intent.
  • Analyze fit and construction issues, recommending technical solutions while maintaining aesthetic goals.
  • Review and approve samples at all stages, ensuring product integrity and consistency.
  • Maintain and update technical blocks, grading, and fit standards.
  • Support ongoing process improvements and efficiencies in the product development cycle.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in technical design, ideally in lifestyle or contemporary apparel.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and grading.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Illustrator, PLM systems, Excel).
  • Experience working with overseas vendors and understanding of the full product lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of fit and quality.
