The Student Conduct Coordinator plays a vital role in upholding community standards and promoting student accountability at San Diego State University. Working within the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities, this position investigates and adjudicates alleged violations of university policy, ensuring a fair, educational, and student-centered process.
Key Responsibilities- Case Investigation and Adjudication: Review and investigate reports of academic and non-academic misconduct in line with CSU Executive Orders and Title 5.
- Hearing and Sanctioning: Conduct hearings, determine outcomes, and apply sanctions such as probation, suspension, or expulsion.
- Educational Interventions: Develop and assign educational sanctions that promote accountability and learning.
- Case Documentation: Maintain accurate records and reports of student conduct proceedings.
- Student Support and Referral: Provide guidance and connect students to campus and community resources.
- Training and Outreach: Deliver programs and workshops on student rights, responsibilities, and conduct processes.
- Faculty Engagement: Support faculty in addressing academic integrity issues and reporting violations.
- Collaboration and Liaison Work: Serve as liaison to CSU Judicial Affairs Officers and manage Maxient database functions.
- Campus and Community Partnerships: Strengthen relationships with key campus partners and community resources.

- This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position.
- This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
- Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
- This position is eligible for telecommuting up to 1 day per week with onsite work in San Diego.

The Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities is responsible for acting on behalf of the University President regarding all aspects of student discipline.
