Varsity Softball Assistant Coach

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is currently accepting applications for a Girls' Varsity Assistant Softball Coach for the Spring 2025 season. This is a seasonal, non-exempt interscholastic coaching position for a competitive CIF girls' Softball program. We seek someone who will serve as an excellent role model, representing OLP with experience and dedication to developing and building the program for future seasons.

The assistant coach must be able to encourage individual participation and skill development. They should also work with the team to develop team spirit, cooperation, and fair play, modeling sportsmanship and competition. The assistant coach is expected to uphold the School Mission and implement it throughout their program.

Applicants must have a current TB test, CPR/AED, and First-Aid Certification. Additionally, applicants must undergo a Livescan background review and obtain the required CIF paperwork, including coaching certification, concussion education, and sudden cardiac arrest education, prior to hire.

Requirements

Previous high school coaching experience is preferred.

OLP will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act. You do not need to disclose your criminal history or participate in a background check until a conditional job offer is made. After a conditional offer, a background check will be conducted, and if concerns arise regarding a conviction related to the job, you will have the opportunity to explain, provide mitigating evidence, or challenge the report's accuracy.
