The Enrollment Services team at San Diego State University (SDSU) plays a vital role in shaping the academic journey of every student, from their first point of interest through graduation. We’re seeking an experienced and student-focused Director of Enrollment Management to lead recruitment, admissions, and registration operations at our SDSU Imperial Valley campus. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact by expanding access to higher education, enhancing enrollment processes, and supporting the success of students in one of California’s most dynamic and diverse regions.

What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services, with a dotted line to the Dean of the Imperial Valley Campus, the Director of Enrollment Management provides leadership and strategic direction for all enrollment operations at SDSU Imperial Valley.

As a key member of the Enrollment Services leadership team, you will:

Lead and develop staff overseeing admissions, recruitment, and registrar operations at the Imperial Valley campus.

Design and implement strategic recruitment plans that increase access and attract students from Imperial County and beyond.

Collaborate with campus and community partners to promote SDSU-IV’s academic programs and student opportunities.

Oversee admissions operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in application processing, transcript review, and communication with applicants.

Monitor enrollment trends and coordinate with academic leadership to align course availability with student demand.

Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to support enrollment goals.

Represent SDSU-IV at community events, college fairs, and outreach programs, serving as an ambassador for the university’s mission and values.

This position works closely with university leaders in San Diego and Imperial Valley to meet enrollment goals, streamline operations, and strengthen the university’s connection to the local community.

Position Information

This is a full-time, at-will role, offering comprehensive benefits.

Position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.

The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU Imperial Valley with occasional travel to SDSU Main campus in San Diego.

Enrollment Services oversees and delivers a comprehensive range of student‑facing functions, bringing together the following portfolios:
Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions; the Office of the Registrar;
Prospective Student Services;
Financial Aid and Scholarship Services;
Out‑of‑State Recruitment and Strategic Partnerships;
International Recruitment; and Enrollment Services Communications. Enrollment Services implements SDSU’s enrollment management policies and practices, supports students at all stages of their academic journey, and ensures that all applicants, admitted students, and current students receive seamless, timely, and equitable service.
