BANKING AND FINANCE:
Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (college credit)

San Diego Community College District – District Wide Adjunct Faculty position.

Part‑time/substitute faculty are needed to teach banking and finance across the San Diego Community College District campuses (City, Mesa, Miramar) and continuing education centers. Positions are scheduled on a flexible basis and may be assigned in fall, spring, and/or summer semesters.

• Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines.
• Develop and deliver lecture and lab classes as determined by the department.
• Be available to students outside of class for academic support.
• Maintain professional conduct, ethics, and current knowledge of the subject matter.
• Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate academic records.
• Create an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages discussion of ideas and issues.
• Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, or off‑campus classes.

• Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Either a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional experience related to banking and finance, or an Associate’s degree and six (6) years of professional experience related to banking and finance, or the equivalent.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.

• California Community College Instructor Credential in Banking and Finance (valid for life).
• Foreign degrees evaluated by a NACES‑member organization or ACEI.
• Completion of a Request for Equivalency Form if degrees differ from the above requirements.

• California Community College Instructor Credential in Banking and Finance (valid for life).

• Submit official college transcripts.
• Provide a valid Certificate of Tuberculosis Examination; renewal required every 4 years.
• Complete Live Scan fingerprinting; clearance must be obtained before first day of employment.
• Present original documents proving eligibility to work in the United States.

Employees may be transferred to any site at the Chancellor’s discretion.
