AB Staffing is looking for an experienced DHH Teacher that is available for the 2025/2026 school year.
RequirementsValid California Education Specialist Credential with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Authorization. Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field (Master’s preferred). Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) or proficient in other communication modes used by DHH students. Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Knowledge of and ability to implement assistive listening devices (e.g., FM systems, hearing aids).
Strong understanding of Deaf culture and inclusive teaching practices. Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Must pass a criminal background check and meet state clearance requirements. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids;
hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; may include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds.
