CPU Software Math Acceleration Engineer

Position Overview

On-site, 5 days per week in San Diego, CA. Relocation packages are available for the right candidates.

Role:
Software architecture and optimization of core ML kernels using the latest advances in ARM architecture features such as SME and SVE to enhance ML models on the CPU of the SoC.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• Understanding of ARM CPU architecture fundamentals and ARM ISA.
• Understanding of basic linear algebra functions used in AI/ML.
• Performance evaluation and optimization of applications for ARM architecture.
• Inferencing of the ML models written in PyTorch/Tensor Flow.
• Understanding of typical open-source library framework design.
• Skills to collaborate with multiple teams including HW design to define the software architecture.
• Good programming skills and understanding of the ARM ISA.
• Understanding of the algorithms suitable for vector and matrix accelerators.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $110,000 to $135,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
