Product Management
Summary:
Qualcomm is seeking a strategic and technically adept Director of Product Management to lead its robotics product portfolio. This role will define and drive the roadmap for intelligent robotics platforms, integrating Qualcomm’s advanced IQ series products, Robotics Reference products, AI engines, and connectivity solutions into industrial, commercial, and consumer robotics applications.
You will be responsible for shaping the strategy, defining product requirements, and leading cross‑functional execution across engineering, business development, marketing, and customer engagement teams. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in robotics, AI/ML, edge computing, and embedded systems, with a proven track record of launching successful hardware‑software products.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the product roadmap for Qualcomm’s robotics platforms (e.g., IQ series products, RB products).
- Define platform requirements for industrial‑grade robotics solutions including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), AI‑enhanced generalized AMRs and Collaborative Robots.
- Lead integration of Qualcomm’s robotics SDKs (e.g., VSLAM, DFS, semantic mapping, motion planning) with ROS2, Linux, QNX, and Android environments.
- Drive adoption of Qualcomm’s AI capabilities including transformer‑accelerated NPUs, LLMs, and multimodal models optimized for edge deployment.
- Collaborate with simulation partners and OEMs to validate full‑stack robotics solutions.
- Engage with customers across logistics, manufacturing, and retail to define use cases and accelerate deployment.
- Represent Qualcomm at industry forums and customer engagements to promote robotics strategy and platform capabilities.
This is an office based position and will be expected to adhere to the Company's onsite work policy.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
- 8+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, preferably in robotics, embedded systems, or AI platforms.
- Strong technical understanding of robotics hardware (sensors, actuators, SoCs) and software (ROS2, SLAM, perception, planning).
- Experience with AI/ML model deployment on edge devices, including LLMs and vision transformers.
- Experience with Qualcomm’s robotics chipsets and developer kits.
- Familiarity with safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and functional safety architectures (SIL‑2/SIL‑3).
- Experience with simulation platforms and digital twins for robotics development.
- Prior experience working with OEMs, Tier 1s, or robotics startups.
