Job Description
** Digital Signal Processing Ultrasound Engineer – Medical Device (San Diego, CA)
** You will be at the forefront of the design/development of our next generation Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) products that are helping to save lives around the world.
** Your role:
*** Applying acoustic wave propagation and signal processing theory to the design and specification of new imaging algorithms and imaging sub-systems.
* Leading development and implementation of new ultrasound imaging capabilities, including development plans, algorithm design, integration strategy, and SW implementation.
* Participate in the design, development, and integration of new ultrasound systems and transducers.
* Tune IVUS systems for optimum image quality on a range of transducers and imaging features.  Also, work closely with customers to understand their needs and evaluation of new designs.
* Help translate marketing/customer requirements into engineering specifications.
** You're the right fit if:
*** You have 5+ years of experience in the field of medical imaging research and/or product development with the majority being in the development of Ultrasound Imaging Systems.
* You've earned a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. PhD desired.
* You are an expert in MATLAB.
* You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .
* You have the ability to plan, lead, and execute laboratory research and experimentation.

** Philips Transparency Details:
** The pay range for this position is $110,000 to $177,000, annually.  The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.  In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
