Senior Cost Estimator

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Cost Estimator to join our growing team in San Diego, CA
. In this role, you will provide highly responsive cost consulting services in one of the firm’s core business lines. Responsibilities include:

• Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations, at all levels of project development.
• Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary.
• Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate client’s project and strategic goals.
• Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures.
• Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals.
• Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining accuracy of cost information.
• Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships through the creation of cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years as a cost estimating professional, preferably as a consultant, to include, but not limited to conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, etc.
• Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all levels of design.
• Expert user of industry software for quantity take-off.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel user and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred.
